FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Weather in the region is tropical - there are only two seasons: the hot season from December to April, and the rainy season from May to November. Temperatures during the year average 25ºC to 32ºC (77ºF to 89.6ºF) and the yearly rainfall averages 2568.5mm.
April and May are the hottest months. High season, which runs from November through to April, has the best weather and the calmest sea.
Low or 'Green' season runs from May to October, when there are periods of stormy weather but most days are still very hot and sunny. The sea can be rough and choppy in the low season and is not always suitable for swimming.
The best airport to fly to is Krabi but Phuket is also an option.
From Krabi airport, we suggest a minivan + speedboat or a private van that will bring you directly from the airport to the resort. Please contact us (undefined)for more information and to arrange these.
A public shared minivan is also an option, which can be booked at the airport.

You can rent motorbikes, cars and bicycles at the resort. Please speak to staff on reception and they can arrange this for you without you having to leave your passport. Driving licenses are required.
You can also rent transport directly from rental shops but you will need to leave your passport.
Taxis are widely avaialble around the island and can be booked through reception.
We are an adult only resort, allowing children over 15 years old to stay. However, from now until April 2022 we do welcome all ages.
Extra beds are available in certain rooms only. Baby cots are not available.

There are mosquitoes on Koh Lanta, as there are everywhere in Southeast Asia. It is advised to wear mosquito repellent, especially at dusk and dawn. We provide guests with complimentary mosquito repellent and mosquito coils. There is no malaria on Koh Lanta.
Most of the jellyfish in Thailand are relatively harmless. The most dangerous jellyfish found in Thai waters is the Box Jellyfish, which is rarely seen around Koh Lanta and generally appears during the monsoon season (May to October).
Thailand does have venomous snakes but they stay away from people and the chance of seeing one is very small, even less being bitten by one.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance along Khlong Dao beach, as well as restaurants, bars and shops along the road close to the resort. Koh Lanta's biggest shopping area, Saladan, is a short drive from Costa Lanta, where you will find plenty of shops, banks, restaurants and a night market.
